Waterski QLD Junior Ski School

Waterski QLD is holding a Junior Ski School for ANY junior up-and-coming skiers from Subbies to Under 21’s who are looking to go to the next level.

The school will be subsidised by WSQ and we have secured the services of Ryan Green (Australian Junior Ski coach).

The school will be held at OzSki Resort in Coolum from the 25 – 29 September, 2023.

As there are very limited numbers, please send your submissions to juniordevelopment@waterskiqld.com and attention it to Gary.

Submissions are required by Wednesday 6th September, 2023

  • Juniors that intend to compete at the States and Nationals as preference
  • 5 days / 3 sets per day / 25th – 29th (1 more set per day is available on request)
  • $1350 per person including accommodation and food (WSQ to subsidise $150 per skier)

2023 World Disabled Water Ski Championships

DWSQ (Disabled Water Ski Queensland) team members, Scott Wintle, Lachy Chapman and Grant Miller have all been selected in the Australian Team to compete at the World Disabled Water Ski Championships at Shortline Lake, Sacramento from 11 – 17 September, 2023.

The two Queensland rookies (Lachy and Grant) will be attending their first World Championships under the supervision of experienced veteran Scott Wintle.

The team has been training nearly every weekend throughout winter to prepare for the competition.

They will be competing in all three events (i.e., slalom, trick, and jump).

Queensland won the Beynon Shield at the 2023 Nationals Water Ski Championships from 6 – 10 April at Bonney’s Water Ski Lakes in W.A.

Queenslanders have done it again! Congratulations to everyone that made this happen.

Oct 2021 – Jacinta Carroll Jumps 61.5m

Jacinta Carroll is an elite water skier and holds five world records and is the reigning five-time world champion.

On 31 October 2021, Jacinta became the first woman in the world to jump over 200 feet, jumping 202 feet which is 61.5m!
